事前に鍵の受け取り方法をメールで聞いていたので、チェックインの時間を伝えていなかったが、2時半頃に行くとオーナーがいた直接鍵と説明を受けられた。

The key pickup process was very simple and the twin beds were very comfortable. The subterranean apartment was surprisingly large and did have a number of windows to let in some light. The shower room/ toilet area was spacious. The shower was excellent and everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We didn’t need to cook but if we had, all condiments, herbs and spices etc were there. The host even left some drinks in the fridge which was very welcome.
Having a private parking space was great. The area feels like a residential one but it is right next to the back of an Aldi. You wouldn’t know it though, but again very convenient for shopping.
A 5 minute walk takes you down to the river Neckar. That stretch of river bank has been developed as a children’s play and general recreation area and was really nice to walk along to get to restaurants and bars in the old Fachwerk house area. Rottenburg is a very safe and friendly place, which my son and I used as a base for finding student accommodation in very nearby Tübingen.
We stayed here for 3 night after arriving very late in the evening and spending the first night at Stuttgart Airport’s 4-star ‘M’ hotel and I can honestly say that I preferred this Rottenburg apartment. I will certainly use it again if it is available in future.
If we had been spending more of the daytime there then more natural light would have been good but we were exploring the area during the day so this was not a problem for us.

Die Lage war gut, die Ausstattung ebenfalls.
Räumlichkeiten im Keller,kaum Tageslicht;
nur kleine Fenster, die dazu in einen Kellerschacht münden;
keine Insektenschutzgitter, daher Mücken und Spinnen;
Sauberkeit mittelmäßig;
