Shandon tipi off grid camping, nc500

It is a really good and cool experience. The host is lovely and it is a must do for a roadtrip through Scotland.

I really liked the uniqueness of the stay. I really felt like I was part of nature. It was like camping, but without all the inconveniences of real camping. The bed was great, the beanbags were perfect and the owners were really nice. I got a great Scottish breakfast, delivered to my front door and the location was great!

I mostly disliked the coldness during the night and fact I could not charge my devices. However , both these things I knew in advance. it's an off the grid tipi, of course there's not going to be electricity, and once I got in bed, the coldness didnt really get to me. Like the owner said, the wind died down eventually, and the cold wasn't anything an extra blanket (which they had) couldn't solve. The owners allowed me to charge my camera in their own home, which I was free to enter whenever I needed! So overall, I knew what I was getting into, and it was a mild inconvience.

Manque d’équipements (pas de table pour manger à l’intérieur en cas de pluie par ex…), alimentation électrique solaire insuffisante (plus d’alimentation à 20h: les hôtes ont dû nous prêter une lampe…)
