So glad we chose this location. It is located next to the most shaded and forested part of Lake Arrowhead with plenty of trails for us and the dog. The bottom floor of the cabin was all the three of us needed as a home base. Because we rented just a couple of weeks after the problems with the electricity we called ahead and verified there were no further issues. We also didn't have any problems. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had an okay time here. The place itself is physically pretty charming and has a lot going for it. We enjoyed the fire pit and other amenities, all of which were fully operational and adequate. It was a great home base to explore the surrounding area and the host was very helpful in that regard. The cabin itself is a unique old space with nooks and crannies. It really feels like a family cabin, with a lot of life lived in it.But that description goes both ways. It’s fairly dusty in some places, musty in others, and some mouse poop was found in a few locations. And one actual mouse was seen. Which, fine, a 100 year cabin may reasonably have that. I don’t hold it against them like I would in a random new house stay and the overall positives may outweigh the negatives. But it’s probably not for everyone. Additionally, the power went out five times while we were there, for reasons that were never totally clear to me. The owner was reasonably communicative when I reached out but overall not knowing when/if the power is going to go out again was a drag on our experience.
