Staff: reception check in staff are not friendly. Not even courteous. It felt like we are intruding them when we were checking in.
Room: badly designed room. There is no TV. We had to request for a kettle. But the worst part is the shower place. The entire place is an open concept. We literally showered in the room in the open (with a lousy curtain dividing the room with the shower). Privacy is 0%.
Breakfast: selection is minimal. Its the same for 3 days straight. The variety is limited. At the second day, we barely eat much.
Location: 25 min walk from the main berchtesgaden. Too far to walk, too near to drive.
The only redemption is the restaurant where the food served is decent. And the views of the mountains are satisfactory. (If you choose mountain view room)

Stayed for 3 nights with my family and we loved our stay. Close to the Hauptbahnhof, 10 mins drive away. There’s a bus stop just outside the hotel with buses that come at scheduled timings. Staff are lovely, able to speak English and very helpful in giving travel information when needed. Breakfast was good. Dinner options for vegans are available but quite limited, not their best in terms of culinary.

The place is beautiful. Breakfast is good . But I won’t recommend you to go in summer. We went there in June. There is no air conditioning in the room. It is not a big issue if the room is equipped with wide windows with nets. Unfortunately, the design of the room is for winter use. You can only open a small gap of the window. The room is not ventilated enough. On the first night, we can barely sleep. The reception was closed by the time when we got to the room. My son has eczema and it flared up because of the heat . I have to use steriod cream on him . On second day, we asked for an electric fan and it was a bit better.
The hotel should have placed fans in all rooms or installed a ceiling fan.
So if your health condition cannot stand warm temperature I won’t recommend you to come in warm seasons.
