    We stay at the OYO hotel on two separate occasions. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We always found the rooms clean and comfortable.

    We had appointments in St Helens and this place was perfect for us. Location was great, the staff friendly and helpful and the room was clean. We will stay there again if we need to go back there.

    I've never run into this before, but they wanted a cash deposit to stay here, but there was no mention of it in the original booking. The place seems a bit shady as is. I grew up in this town and when this place got renovated I was quite happy because the only other hotel to stay in to visit is a very old Best Western. But I'll take the ancient BW to this shady place any day.

    As I checked in, the bed was very wrinkled as if someone has sat on it. The bedding was not done properly. One of the pillow case was put on the wrong way, so it looked like a triangle tamale, bedsheet were not draped evenly on two sides after pulled out, I had to remake the bed before I can sleep in it. There was a crowd of young people gathered in front of the rooms, I think was from the restaurant across the lot , talking loudly all night. This contributed to my disliking of the location, although it was not the hotel's fault.
