A True Gem in Sainte-Maxime I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Le Chardon Bleu this August, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family by the wonderful husband and wife who run the hotel. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made my stay unforgettable. The owners are truly the heart of this property. They went above and beyond—personally helping me with restaurant reservations, beach club suggestions, local tips, and even little touches like recommending the best walking routes and hidden gems around Sainte-Maxime. You can feel their love for what they do in every detail of the experience. The hotel itself is charming, spotless, and perfectly located. Just a short walk to the beach, the marina, and all the shops and restaurants—yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and everything is maintained with great care. You can tell the owners take immense pride in the property. It’s rare to come across such a welcoming, sincere, and helpful pair—they embody true hospitality. Their attentiveness never felt forced or scripted; it was heartfelt. Whether it was making last-minute changes, checking in to ensure I had what I needed, or simply sharing a kind word, they made the experience personal and memorable.Bravo and thank you to the lovely couple behind this gem. Le Chardon Bleu is family owned and ran by the most amazing husband and wife duo. They were extremely welcoming, helpful and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay there due to their charismatic energy and sweet demeanor. The area was extremely safe and very walkable with lots to do in the area. Not to mention their puppies who hang in the lobby and greet you when you walk in. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves to support small businesses/ family owned businesses. Thank you very much Guillaume for your hospitality. We will definitely be back whenever we return to the South of France.

This hotel is so lovely and hospitable. We really didn’t want to leave but we had already booked another. The owners are so lovely to be around and the atmosphere is family friendly. You feel very comfortable here. It was perfect for the price and the location. Everything is so close and the breakfast was very good. If you don’t want to walk up stairs with your luggage this is one thing to consider but it’s a very easy 3 minutes. The rooms are clean and tidy but the best thing about this hotel is the he hospitality. I have stayed in many hotels and I really felt like this was one I would definitely stay again..

We have just spent 6 nights at this lovely family run hotel. The hosts are unbelievably helpful to ensure your stay is perfect. They assisted us with tickets for the ferry to Ste Tropez and made a reservation there for a fabulous restaurant. They provided secure enclosed parking for €25 per day and even escorted me to the local optician for advice on an eye issue which was so helpful. The room had a kettle and fridge which were useful. The host even lent us a plug adapter and a clothes steamer was available if required too! We have stayed in Ste Maxime a dozen times before and stayed at almost every hotel in the area and I can honestly say that this one is one of the best. It has the kindest hosts and it also has a fab location which is a couple of minutes from the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. So do not hesitate to book this one if you are looking for a central location and value for money.
