Overall The Brisbane house is a good place to stay. I didn't give 5 stars as they no longer have a restaurant. When you're travelling and tired quite often having an evening meal in the hotel is a must. On our previous visit they had a restaurant and the food quality was very good. However they still serve breakfast in the bar and it is very good. The rooms were nice and clean but the standard rooms are a bit on the small side and with no view to see, through frosted glass windows. The previous visit we had a larger room with a very good sea view. So that was my fault for not booking earlier. The staff were absolutely lovely and very good at their jobs. They were always friendly and quick with advice if asked and they were all always smiling. The location is excellent with good parking facilities.

Paid extra for 1 night in a sea view with bb. Everything on the face of things looks good however when scratching below the surface loads of wee things soon mount up. Room ***
1. So wall in room as you go in dirty and tired with lots of marks.
2. Large orange stain in carpet at window.
3.Stain on bottom of bed base.
4. Two cushions on bed stained.
5. Runner on bottom of bed was made of wool old and baubly fit for the bin.
6. Chair at dresser had old kirby grips on it not been cleaned.
7. Free tunnocks tea cake soggy base again binned.
8. Breakfast, my full Scottish haggis was raw in middle, toast was not sourdough as advertised, partners smoked salmon was not like any I had seen before and was pink (looked like out of a tin. I when to speak with the 2 ladies standing chatting to ask to come see my breakfast complaint, one called *** didnt catch the other ladies name who came over not looking best pleased and wanted to argue over my comments re the salmon, I requested to speak with them on check out she said fine. On checking out *** asked was everything okay with the stay, I said obviously not and can I discuss it now, she now said she can't as she was only the receptionist, I asked to speak with the manager (who was *** im told, I said fine he checked us in.) She said he didn't start till 12 check out 11, she said she would ask him to call when on duty to listen to our concerns, unfortunately I'm still waiting now 4 days later. So all in all not the best value for money I've received for nearly *** for 1 nights stay. All these small things added up equals large disaster.
