I was hoping for it to be a nice place but it really exceeded all our expectations, the day of check in the girl from the reception asked for reason of visiting and we mentioned the celebration of my birthday and she went out of her way to make it a memorable experience by gifting us a bottle of champagne, staff is super friendly, and ever since we came came back home we can’t stop talking about such beautiful and awesome staff and beautiful pool. This will honestly not be the first and last time staying here every time we stop by San Marcos 😊!

Although we only stayed one night, we enjoyed our stay at Melrose River Club! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was super cute, clean and we loved the retro decor and appliances. We didn't get a chance to use many of the amenities, however, we were able to take a quick walk through the trails and by the river. We enjoyed much more than a hotel room and very similarly priced. We will definitely return again in the future!
