The Duval House is in a great central location and within an easy walk of most of the key sights of KW. The property is very pretty with gardens, walkways, decks, fountains and landscaping. The breakfast offering is extremely well done. The complimentary beverage of choice upon arrival was a nice touch. The buildings/rooms are a little worn and needs some general maintenance and upkeep. The walls are thin so be prepared to be awakened by the local resident roosters at 0500hrs each morning. Late night street noise wasn't an issue. Staff is extremely helpful.

The best part about this place is that it provides a quiet retreat from the craziness of Duval Street. The bed was comfortable but our room (29) was very close to a side street where the trash was picked up early in the morning. That room also had an awkward entrance behind a wooden gate and three stairs up. The room was spacious enough but the floors were not very clean. Also not enough towel racks/hooks. I think we might have enjoyed our stay more in a different room more in the center of the property.

Checking in was quick and easy there are a couple of hidden fees one if you drive there is a $30 plus dollar charge per day parking is limited and tight also they hit you with a resort fee this place is not a resort they have a pool no jim nothing extra o wait they offer you breakfast from 8 to 10 am not all that waffles fruit coffee cereal nothing big is it worth the price you be the judge property is on duval south not central your still over 3/4 of a mile from Mallory Square, o there is no daily room cleaning you have to request it i don't know how they scored a 9 plus on reviews there are other places that offer more and actually are a resort I can't say don't book a reservation here that wouldn't be fair so again you be the judge.
