Everything was great!
Except that the heating, or rather the radiator, doesn't work at all, and the lights that are turned on by an old potentiometer provide a nice light show. Even better, when you turn it up a little so that they work, everything in the room buzzes like under a power line. It's also nice that the ad states a double bed, but it doesn't, it's a hard sofa bed with a fence so you have nowhere to put your feet when you lie down. It's also great that the landlord named David wasn't there, so his daughter provided the service.
And so, we get to the room and the heating works, we go get the rest of our luggage and come back and the heating doesn't work, we call Merry, then politely comes to the nightstand to check the radiator, which is on the valve at 5 out of 5 and says she has to call her father and leaves, and after a while the radiator starts heating and everything is great. When asked why it's buzzing so much in the room, Merry replies that it's the lights and that there's nothing you can do about it. Then we leave the apartment for a while to see the beautiful surroundings of Dublin and come back and the radiator doesn't work again. After that, we send a message to the polite hosts that unfortunately we have to look for another accommodation in an unknown city (where at least the heating works). No problem, the polite David replies to the message.
And so my wife and I move to an expensive hotel in a location that does not suit us, but we can.
After I asked for a refund from booking.com, they reply that they could not agree with David and that unfortunately there is nothing to be done about it.
Well, everything was great, we were left without our money, David got the money even though no one was staying in his room, and booking.com generously gave me a "voucher for the future" of €37.
Everything was great except for what was great.

The location suited me very well. It was clean, tidy & very comfortable. The hosts David and Marta were terrific, friendly and accomodating
