Low score on cleanliness due to mix up in house cleaners' schedule. . .VRBO very gracious in refunding cleaning fee (as we did a cleaning). Other than that, all was good!

We were looking for some R&R near Donner with our adult children & Golden Retriever. This was perfect for us - quiet and welcoming neighborhood, cozy but roomy cabin, walk to marina to rent kayaks, kick-back pub (The Pub) and a surprisingly well-stocked grocery store (good wine and cheese selection)! Cabin was homey and very clean, it had 3 comfy king-sized beds, super-important for our tall family - nice linens, toiletries, plenty of cooking utensils and basics. Loved the outdoor spaces for eating, reading and napping! Especially appreciated the chess set - lots of games were had. I would definitely rent here again! NOTE: We weren't looking for a beach to hang-out at, so we didn't mind public beach being on the other end of the lake.

It was wonderful! Charming cabin and well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable furniture and beds. Very nice seating on the front porch. Very good location on the west end of the lake. Easy walk to the west end beach. We brought bikes and biked around the lake. There is a very nice tough shed for guests to store belongings. No fire pit, but we brought a gas fire pit and made s'mores every night on the side patio. Very good neighborhood, everyone is very friendly. A LOT of good books, games, etc. A perfect place to go and just relax. Will book again.
