Hotel was last on the row of hotels on the promenade, close to the sea terminal so was at the opposite end to all the tourist stuff like the horse trams and electric railway. Expect a good 30 minute walk to get there. However, just behind the hotel was the main shopping area so you know, swings and roundabouts :)
Breakfast was excellent if you are into a good old english.
Room looked very empty when I first walked in mainly due to the size being very big for a normal hotel room and the only furniture was the bed, desk and chair. You could swing a whole herd of cats around there was so much room (not suggesting you do that btw). Maybe a couple of armchairs for a bit more comfort would have been nice

The location of being on the prom is handy and the room was big enough. Breakfast was fresh
You can hear all the music from the near by bar along with anyone walking above. Would benefit from black out curtains like premier inn as room very bright at 6am
