Pros: (1) clean property, (2)a/c takes time to kick in but works (essential for summer), (3) communication with property manager via *WhatsApp* with mostly prompt responses, (4) helpful family managing the property, (5) peaceful stay. Cons: (1) the property is on a hill - you have to take at least two flights of stairs (not in the pictures) outside the house to get to the entrance, and then there is a colorful long flight of stairs inside the house (in the pictures). So be prepared if traveling with someone relatively old or is pregnant. On the other hand, this amount of climbing is what gives you great views from the house. (2) getting a taxi/cab is not easy - although we had their contact numbers (from the property manager), the cabs were not responsive when we reached out to them via phone. On the other hand, buses usually run as per the timetable, and the amount of walking to this property from the bus stop is comparable to how far a cab can drop you off. (3) not many options to eat nearby - you will have better luck in Salerno city (downtown). Other information that could be useful: (1) any major travel to nearby places (e.g., Capri, Positano, Naples, Pompeii, etc) happens from Salerno city (downtown), which is a 20 to 30-minute bus ride from this property (unless you pre-booked a taxi/cab). (2) beware of public holidays - you'll have to plan accordingly to find alternate bus stops and routes, which may require some additional walking up/down the hill.

Thank you very much for a fantastic stay. The Ferrara holiday home was perfect in every way with amazing views over the sea and the town of Vietri below. The house was very clean, had all the items we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and the bedrooms were great with really comfy beds. My contact with the host, Ilari, was great and she provided quick responses to any questions I had about the property and surrounding areas, so thank you. The team supporting the property in Ratio were perfect and so helpful. Giovanna, her son Antonio and husband, Vincenzo went above and beyond to make our stay so perfect and I can't thank them enough. Raito is a little village above the town of Vietri Sul Mare. We didn't have a car which was fine. To get to Vietri and down to the beach is easy and is a short bus ride, with a stop very close to the house. There is a regular public bus which costs 2 euros but there is also a community bus which is free and was really good. Raito is small but has the shops you need, such as a small supermarket, butchers and cafe / bar which was great. There isn't a restaurant in Raito but some very close by which were good and Vietri has everything you need from a small holiday location and the beach area is brilliant. The beaches are private so there is a small rental fee for an umbrella and loungers but that was good and meant we didn't need to take any items with us. The sand was good and the sea was lovely and clean. Perfect stay - thank you

This had the potential to be a really great place. But fell short in so many ways. The apartment was nice, But where it was situated in terms of steps and accessibility were not properly communicated in my opinion. We arrived late, due to travel interruptions and we were charged an additional 50 euros to be paid in cash for this, which felt very inappropriate to me. When we alerted the group we were checking out, they had the wrong check out date and did not come to assist with the check out process. When we went to load our items (6 people's worth). We didn't know where to park, thus blocking traffic which created a frankly, scary outburst from folks trying to get to and from. When we messaged the managers of the property, they didn't assist. The parking situation was a nightmare. I recommend not driving to this property. When I expressed the issues, we were met with very uninterested "thank you for your feedback..." Overall, If you rent this apartment, make sure you are able bodied, and get express directions on check in and check out procedures.
