About this cottage rental
Tastefully modernised to a high standard this cosy hideaway includes features such as pine panelled doors, underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. The thoughtfully decorated sitting room featuring a cosy Gazco Electric Stove leads you through to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area with integrated appliances and granite work surfaces, perfect for spending time together around the dining table after a busy day exploring the North York Moors. The stairs lead you to the first floor, home to the large master bedroom overlooking the front of the cottage and of course views across the Ampleforth valley and hills beyond. You will also find access to the delightful spacious family shower room.
Outside the front garden is laid to lawn featuring a large stone flagged sun terrace. The rear enclosed garden with woodland to the back has a stone paved area and steps leading to the elevated seating area, which has special views to be savoured over a glass of wine or morning coffee.
Enjoy a romantic night out in one of the many eateries nearby including the Black Swan at Oldstead just four miles away, a Michelin-starred pub made famous by Tommy Banks, who also has the Michelin-starred Roots at York. Or pop along to The White Swan, just a two minute walk away, perfect for bar food and space to eat outside on a balmy summer evening.
