The Residence Pelican Krabi

We stayed in a two bed apartment, it looked fairly newly renovated, very spacious and clean with all the expected amenities. The pool area is quite large and never busy whilst we were there, the pool itself requires some TLC, you can see some effort has been made to try and spruce the area up with new sun umbrellas and day bed furnishings. The property on a whole in some places looks rundown, although it is evident some work is going on to try and bring it back to date. Staff are helpful - desk is open from for a period of time in the day 8-5 I think.

The apartment was big, bright and clean. Compared to the price we paid - around 10.000 THB - for 5 nights, it was good value. Over all we had a pleasant stay. The standard of cleaning inside the apartment was outstanding. Easy to park our car. Around 15 minutes drive to Ao Nang. We did not checkout the local beach or restaurants. 7-Eleven only 3 minutes away by car.

In general the residence is in need of maintenance. The swimming pools was more or less out of service. Only 1/3 was open during our stay, and the pumps did not work properly. The TV didn’t work because of really bad WiFi connection, we told the receptionist, but nothing changed. No hot water connected to kitchen, so difficult doing the dishes properly without a dishwasher also. More or less only cold water in both showers.
