Very nice place, the owner is a good old dude with a very cute dog. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned, kitchen bathroom shower and common areas are shared. Very nice outdoor kitchen and plenty of lounging room around the property and pool area.
Construction next door, and on the property. Tons of roosters around having a competition all night. Yes, I know people have roosters, but it's an entire farm connected to the backyard of the property.

Travelling is what you make it. We have so many expectations while travelling these days, its nice to find a place that is functional and works. When i arrived the first floor of the house it was occupied with laundry, so WHAT! It gave the place a special feel. The second floor where there are three apartments had a shared toilet, and shows, totally functional, who grew up with four brothers and a sister and shared the facilities? And the cooking area was perfect. When you hit the city, especially down the main road at the surfing beach you are going to be spending a lot of money, every meal adds up, and the fruit and veggy shops are a rip off. We went to the store, bought our groceries for breakfast and save ourselves 100 Canadian dollars during our four day visit! The pool is excellent, and the chickens that live next door really gave us a feeling like we were part of Mexico, not a tourista. There is some house construction going on next door, we found the workman, hard working and very courteous. Their work did not effect us at all. (bring ear plugs if you are concerned, save money) Overall a good experience not for everyone, but was excellent for us if you know how to travel.
Some construction in the area, but that is what they are calling progress. Acclimatizing might take a day for some as they have to navigate the house to get to their room, but once there, all the amenities are in place.

Location, location, location.
AC, fans, wifi, were not working when we arrived but all was rectified quickly the next morning, including calcium removal on the shower head.
