About this apartment rental
ELEA is located at Makris Tichos, one of the most beautiful areas of Chania, only 4km far from the city centre. The visitors will surely be impressed by the tasty decoration, the feeling of homely care and exterior environment which is immersed to the Cretan landscape. The charming swimming pool offers moments of relaxation and calmness under the sun, while the guests can enjoy peaceful shady spots in the big garden with local olive and banana trees. Moreover, the four most beautiful beaches of Chania are only 400m away and are easily accessible on foot.
When getting in this villa you see a bedroom with lively colored walls and next to it a big kitchen-sitting room with a stone wall and a fireplace. In this room there are two sofas and a dining table with chairs where the visitors can enjoy their meals and drinks. Next to it, there is a bathroom with beautiful tiles and bathtub. The stairs lead to the first floor where there are two more bedrooms. On the first floor there is another bathroom with bathtub. A big balcony can offer a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the olive trees. Around the house there is a big yard with an oven, a grill and sofas with chairs under the olive trees.
In the area there are two big super-markets and several restaurants (300m). There is well-organized transportation to the town (every 10 minutes) and the bus stop is only 300m away.
We have created a peaceful place for relaxation and calmness and we are waiting for you. Its a home away from home!
Note: Elea is the translation of the english word olive tree in greek language.

A great little complex that was clean, friendly & far better than the star rating would suggest.
We booked as a short-term option as we had a few days before friends arrived and we moved to a villa - & were pleasantly impressed by how nice this place was.
We had the three bedroom 'villa' but the 2 bedroom apts looked nice too.
The pool was great & the bar was easy going & good value

The best thing about Villa Elea was its setting. It is in a gorgeous private garden with several other apartments, easy parking, and a private bar/cafe run by very friendly and helpful owners. We had very small children and they were safe and happy playing in the garden, with a well-secured, clean shared swimming pool full of toys, garden with nice grass, shady olive trees, fruit and vegetable trees grown by the cafe owners, and several cheeky little cats! A lovely, homely vibe, we would come here again.
Local beach is very family friendly and a five min walk away.
Inside, the villa was comfortable enough. It has rather basic shower/bath facilities (not full size baths). It is not fully air conditioned; there are two units, one in each of the upstairs bedrooms. Nevertheless it was quite cool, but just to let you know, if you need to use the third, downstairs bedroom this room remains pretty hot.
The staircase up to the first floor has open iron bannisters and big gaps between the wooden stairs, leading to a mezzanine floor with balcony which also has large gaps. I would not recommend staying here with a toddler as you will not be able to relax!
We also were under the impression from this site that the property had a washing machine - it does not, but the cafe owners will wash clothes for 5 euros per load and are very helpful.
Despite our continual stairs vigilance (!!) we had a really lovely time. We would certainly return to the location and the villa was comfortable and reasonable price in a truly gorgeous setting.
