"So close and yet so far away"
Sleeping accommodation:
1st bedroom with double bed
2nd sleeping area (sleeping loft)
The second sleeping accommodation is a sleeping loft with space for up to 3 people, ideal for teenagers or sporty adults.
The sleeping loft is accessible via a ladder and is not suitable for small children and people with reduced mobility.
Our "Altes Forstamt Sinntal" is picturesquely situated on a hill above the Sinn valley and the village of Altengronau.
In the middle of the almost 2 hectare property and the gardens, which are known throughout Hesse, you can enjoy the view far into the Franconian hilltop Rhön and the Spessart.
Numerous secluded spots offer many opportunities to "unwind". At night, when the sky is clear, you can see a fantastically clear firmament, just like in the Rhön Star Park.
Our cottage "Pferdestall" (horse stable), approx. 60sqm, offers a cozy experience of nature even in less beautiful weather thanks to its many windows and cozy underfloor heating. The bedroom and the separate sleeping loft offer comfortable space for 4 people.
During your stay, use of the vegetable and berry garden and the greenhouse is free of charge.
Own honey, apple juice and ready-to-cook venison from our own hunt can be purchased. For groups there are 2 further vacation units, as well as a separately bookable room for up to 10 people, with fully equipped kitchen and toilet for celebrations, seminars etc., available. Pick-up from the nearby Jossa train station is possible.
1 pet per vacation unit allowed.
Seating + sleeping facilities are reserved for 2-legged guests.
Celebrations + seminars up to 10 people possible (see above), loud parties not.
Our nature, unique in Hesse, with beaver, otter, black stork, adder, chess flower, orchids and much more are a "treasure" that you can hike almost undisturbed.
Supermarket with local bakery approx. 500m below in the valley.
Restaurants, e.g. "Krone" (Fri-Sun, approx. 800m)
Brunch: "Babsis" Schlüchtern or "Schafhof Cafe" Jossgrund
In the village:

- European cultural hiking trail + various hiking trails
