About this house rental
Clausnitz is a small village in the Eastern Ore Mountains and belongs to the municipality of Rechenberg-Bienenmühle. Clausnitz is close to the Czech border and is worth a visit at any time of year. In summer, the densely wooded region is an ideal area for cycling and hiking tours. For example, the Erzgebirgs-Kammweg trail leads through the town all the way to Voigtland, as well as various trekking trails. Anglers can enjoy fishing in the smaller rivers in the area as well as in the Rauschenbach, Lichtenberg and Lehnmühle reservoirs. Geocaching enthusiasts can enjoy a special geocaching themed trail in Clausnitz, and in winter the region is a popular winter sports area. Skiers can access the cross-country ski trail right at the entrance to the village. The Holzhau ski area with more than 50 kilometres of signposted trails is located in the immediate vicinity. Other ski areas, toboggan runs and ski lifts can also be found in the region. Clausnitz is home to smaller shops and a railway station. Larger supermarkets, restaurants, a swimming pool and an adventure pool can be found in the neighbouring towns. The motorway junction is around 40 kilometres away.
