Very good communication with the owner about any queries I had or concerns. She responded very quickly, reassuring and helpful. She also let me check out at 3PM due to going on a later ferry which was very kind of her as there was no one booked the next day. The accommodation is spacious and they give free water. There is room to hang laundry in the small balcony.

I think this was small issues and didn’t affect my stay but a couple of the lights were not functioning and one of bathroom sink had low pressure water. For the sink, I assumed it was help not to waste too much water as there was a poster about water. However, as a solo traveller there was a moment which felt unsafe - where a woman and a man knocked on the door and said they were there to inspect the water pressure in the evening, in which I responded behind the door it was fine. I thought it was strange as I didn’t mention to the owner about this issue, which I clarified with the owner the next day. She confirmed it wasn’t her staff and there was no need for the staff to access the room and they could check the tank at the back. So afterwards, I thought that was very strange and uncomfortable. The owner did confirm that extra security was planned to be installed next week, so I believe it will be more safer. However, I don’t believe it is of fault of the accommodation.
