About this house rental
The Cocoonr agency offers this charming house for rent in Saint-Martin-Du-Puy (Plainefas), 100 m from Lake Chaumeçon, with a surface area of 120 m² and capacity for up to 6 guests. It comprises a 35 m² living room (with fireplace), a fully equipped kitchen, three beautiful bedrooms, two bathrooms (with shower), and you can enjoy a beautiful plot of land of around 7,000 m².
The accommodation is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor:
- A 35 m² living room with sofa, dining area and fireplace
- A fully equipped kitchen with electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob, etc.
- Bedroom 1: a double bed (140×190)
- A bathroom with shower
- A laundry room
- A separate toilet
Upstairs:
- Bedroom 2: a double bed (140×190)
- Bedroom 3: two single beds
- A bathroom with shower and toilet
- An office area with balcony
For even more comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: barbecue, high chair, washing machine, bathtub, and crib (no linens provided).
Outside:
- Beautiful 7,000 m² private grounds with trees, surrounded by a natural fence (hedges, trees, stones)
- Three terraces measuring 20 m², 8 m² and 8 m² surrounding the chalet, with furniture for enjoying sunny days
The house is ideally located in Plainefas (commune of Saint-Martin-Du-Puy), in a very pleasant environment with a view of the lake. Essential shops as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars, and a market are 10 minutes away.
Activities:
- Numerous hiking trails, mountain bike trails, bike rides, donkey rides, fishing on the lake and on the Chalaux river.
- Swimming, canoeing, paddleboarding on the lake, kayaking, rafting, white water swimming on the Chalaux river (500 m away).
- Castle tours: Guédelon (fortified castle), Vauban in Bazoches-En-Morvan.
- Vézelay, one of the most beautiful villages in France, a place of pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, with its magnificent basilica. UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- The town of Saulieu, renowned for its gastronomy.
- Other lakes in the area: Les Settons, Pannecière, Le Crescent, St-Agnan.
Transportation:
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the house's private parking lot, which can accommodate up to 5 vehicles.
For other modes of transportation, here is some information that may be useful:
- A6 motorway 30 minutes away (Avallon toll)
- Nearest train station: Avallon 30 km away (about 35 minutes by car)
A car is necessary to fully enjoy the region.
Other remarks:
- Bed linen is included. Towels and tea towels are not provided.
- Free Wi-Fi available
- The fireplace is in working order and the first fire is free. Additional wood is available at an extra cost of €15 per wheelbarrow.
- Pets are not allowed in the accommodation.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future visitors and washing the bed linen. Please leave the accommodation in a clean condition and clean the appliances after use.
