Yatrissa is on the seafront but it was situated at a quiet part of the town which was a bonus. The apartment is tastefully furnished and everything is nearly new. It is very comfortable with everything you could need. The large sofa was great to relax on. Some treats such as milk, juice, coffee etc were provided which was a nice touch and there was an informative booklet of useful information including the very interesting history of the apartment. The host was very helpful and aranged for us to be met and taken to the apartment.
From the balcony we enjoyed watching the fishing boats opposite going out in the morning. It was an easy walk round the seafront. We also enjoyed walking up to the archaeological museum at the back of town as we passed lovely houses on the way. One day we bought and cooked fresh fish from one of the fish stalls and it was delicious. It was also a treat to have a good pastry/ice cream shop just along from the apartment. One day we caught the bus to Myrties from the stop at the side of the town hall which was not far from the apartment. We would also hugely recommend a visit to the Nautical museum, a stone building beside the town hall with blue shutters and an nentrance at the back. There was an excellent 30 minute film from the 1960s giving an insight into the lives and methods of the sponge divers. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Kalymnos.

Highly recommend Yatrissa Apartments and Kalymnos, we will definitely stay again.
Fantastic apartment, port view and attentive host. If you are looking for comfort, facilities and an authentic Greek Island without the masses of foreign tourists, then Kalymnos is a must and Anna’s Yatrissa apartments is the perfect accommodation. Spacious with all the facilities you need and a fantastic view over the Port and waterfront. It looks better in real life than in the pictures. We based ourselves at the Port In Yatrissa apts and rented a car to explore the island. The port has lots going on with ferries and recreational yachts coming and going. A huge choice of restaurants and cafes. Everything you would need or want. Anna was a very helpful host.
It was very enjoyable having a full apartment with space and facilities after spending weeks in hotel rooms.

The apartment location is great, very close to the port. The house was clean, comfortable, and with a nice sea view. House owner Anna is exceptional. Highly recommended if you want a comfortable apartment close to the centre.

The kitchen was very nice and the bedroom was good. The balcony was a good size. Plenty of tavernas in the town. We brought lovely cookies from the little bakery down the road.
If you were staying in the apartment of an evening cars used to turn around outside the apartment and motorbikes used to go up and down the road making quite a noise. If you was out for the night it didn’t bother us but if you’re in was quite noisy.
