Funky spaces, funky rooms, funky full breakfast. Even a small funky gym. Thanks to April and team. A small perennial issue when checking at the kiosk, but it was resolved in the end. Also be great to have healthier bread options at breakfast, rather than just white and brown.

Took me ages to narrow city centre hotels down having never been to Liverpool before, but I was delighted with our stay at the Maldron. The location was ideal for the Albert Dock, really close to the town centre shops AND less than a 10 minute walk to Matthew Street, where the Cavern Club is and a whole street of bars. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice and our room overlooking the city centre had a comfy bed and a great shower. We’ve already decided to come back next year and stay in this hotel. I highly recommend it!
