About this apartment rental
Enjoy our luxury and fully equipped holiday home with a view over Lake Iseo from our complex. There is a large swimming pool and a private garage. Casa Lago is located in the lively village of Tavernola Bergamasca, directly on Lake Iseo, in Northern Italy, between Lake Como and Lake Garda.
At Lake Iseo, there is no mass tourism, so you can still enjoy the authentic Italian atmosphere.
The house is located approximately 100 meters higher than the lake. It can be reached via a wide asphalt road that is not steep. From the complex, you have a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Iseo and the world-famous Monte Isola (the largest island in Europe in a lake; 9 km in circumference; car-free). You also have a perfect unobstructed view of the other islets in the lake: Isola di Loreto and Isola San Paolo.
Compared to busy lakes like Lake Garda and Lake Como, this is a breath of fresh air. The circumference of the lake is 65 kilometers, allowing you to discover the real Italy.
Casa Lago is part of a quiet apartment complex. Almost all other owners are (elderly) Italians who occasionally stay there.
The apartment was built in 2010 and is luxuriously finished, and the kitchen is fully equipped. There are three large balconies; you can enjoy the sun at any time of the day.
We offer, among other things, this comfort:

✅ Chromecast on the TV: You can stream from YouTube, for example

We provide convenience:
✅ New mattresses (March 2024)
✅ Including hotel-quality bed linen (you can wash them as desired during your stay if changes are needed)
✅ Including sufficient towels (hotel quality, 2 per person per booking) and tea towels
✅ Plenty of coffee pods, salt, sugar, olive oil
✅ There are always detergents, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, garbage bags, and cleaning supplies
✅ Gas, water, and electricity are included (so no extra costs)
✅ We do not require a deposit!
In 2016, there was a "first-class" view of the world-famous artwork Floating Piers: it was a temporary artwork on Lake Iseo by Christo, consisting of 70,000 square meters of yellow fabric, carried by a modular floating dock system of 226,000 high-density polyethylene cubes.
You can fly to our house at Bergamo Orio al Serio, for example with Ryanair. The airport is only half an hour's drive (by car) from our house!
The village has 2,500 inhabitants, and in the center, you will find all amenities: bakeries, butchers, small supermarkets, 3 bars, 4 restaurants, hairdressers, doctors, pharmacies, and tobacco shops. The center and the nearest beach are less than 5 minutes from our place. You can also walk there easily.
There are plenty of (sports) activities possible around the lake: cycling, road cycling, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, kayaking, sailing, and skiing in winter.
Shopping and visiting cities are all within easy reach. Franciacorta Outlet Center (20km) has 140 shops with the most famous brands and real outlet prices. Also, the covered shopping center Elnoss in Brescia is great, with hundreds of shops, a 45-minute drive away. As well as Orio Center; hundreds of covered shops near Bergamo airport.
We are Dutch owners and have local assistance from Lara (an Italian lady who lives nearby). She will greet you upon arrival and show you the way. Of course, we are always available for guests if there are any questions.
⚠ PLEASE NOTE: ⚠
- Our house is not suitable for people with limited mobility and is not equipped for babies, toddlers, or preschoolers.
- You reach the house via a staircase, so if you have difficulty walking, this may not be pleasant.
- There is a garage box available, but it is quite narrow (2.5 meters). You can park freely in three different places directly around the house.
- The pool is not fenced. If you come with children without a swimming diploma, continuous parental supervision is required.
-There are several easy routes to our accommodation. Sometimes the navigation system directs you through a very narrow and steep road. Therefore, we always send the recommended driving route in advance.
SAFETY:
- A very comprehensive first aid kit is available.
- In accordance with Italian rental regulations, 6-liter foam extinguishers with a fire rating of 34A/233B and a fire blanket are provided.
- We have ELRO FS461011 smoke detectors that comply with the NEN-EN 14604 standard.
- We have an Alecto COA3910 carbon monoxide detector in the house (EN50291-1:2018 standard).
- We also have a Nedis gas detector in the house (NEN-EN 14604:2005/C1:2008 certification).

We enjoyed our week , wonderful views over the lake . The unit was very clean and bed comfortable.

Had a wonderful stay at this cute little apartment together with my partner.
The flat had everything we needed, was very clean, and offered an awesome view. Especially the lake-facing balcony soon became our #1 spot to be.
Also, all communication with our host Patrick & the local host Lara was flawless. For any questions before, during and after our stay, Patrick was super quick to respond and a genuinely great host.
The apartment is located in a small Italian village - but you have quick access to everything you might need (like supermarkets & restaurants).
We actually really enjoyed the fact that this was not a super touristic place.
Overall, a great experience & we’d definitely come back!
