My second time staying, as the first was great! The location was excellent and had lovely views. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, as usual. Everything worked as expected and the host was very accommodating. 100% would stay every time I’m visiting Newquay.

The location and aspect of the property is tremendous. Beautiful view from the outside space and easy access into town.
The property is lovely and well equipped from the kitchen to the games.
The welcome box was a kind gesture.
So, I hate to write a negative review and I hope to provide some context for my scores.
My first comment is around the assumption of the use of one bedroom, there were only two of us but one was my adult son so we required two beds. The property is 3 bedroom and any other property of this size I have rented (and I do rent a good number across the year) would have the bedrooms made up regardless of the number of people staying...just gives an unfinished vibe...however is minor in the grand scheme of things.
The bedrooms in general, in comparison to the living areas felt sparse and the main bedroom furniture was damaged (bedside cabinet and chest) which looked a little scruffy given the cost of the rental.
The main issue was two fold, one you get a lovely welcome pack but no hand wash or hand soap in the bathrooms was something that I have not come across before (I bought some and left it there) and this seemed odd given again the quality and price of the rental.
We then had a major issue with the hot water and there was only myself and my son...he had a shower on day one and I was unable to have a hot shower for the duration of the stay
The owner was responsive and came out quickly but the problem was unresolved. I was completely understanding of the issue he explained however his parting words (we had another night there), were that they would sort something out for me for the inconvenience. I heard nothing.
This was so disappointing.
The apartment is straight across the road from another of my children and perfect for my visits but I would now hesitate to book again at the risk of no hot water/heat.
If we had been full occupancy 5/6 people and I was last in the shower then I could understand it, but to have one hot shower between two of us for our stay was not great.
We were offered a late check out the last day, however we were leaving anyway so this was no benefit to me.
