We had a wonderful stay! It was truly a perfect retreat from our busy lives! The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. There is a house next-door, but we rarely saw the neighbor. And you should probably know that there can be lot of ski boats that go up and down the river during the day. But for us they became part of the background and not a problem in anyway . The cottage is cozy and because of the wonderful large deck and gorgeous view of the river, we spent a lot of our time there so it felt perfectly spacious. We loved swimming in the river and took full advantage of the 2 kayaks! It’s great to be so close to Portland! Yet because we were so comfortable, we surprised ourselves and ended up only going there one day of our 6 day stay! The bed is very comfy and I agree with the others who said that if you have mobility issues, the steps to the loft are probably not for you - also, mobility issues could make bringing the kayaks up and down the hill from the yard a challenge. We are very grateful that we found this lovely cottage. We would definitely come back here again!

This place was lovely for a quick get away. Very small and quirky and a bit dated, but in a great location. Bathroom door was broken and it seems like the place could use some TLC. No blinds on the windows so the afternoon sun blasts in on a hot day. The internet was not great for working which is what we planned to do during our days. The host however was responsive in sorting this out. Still, a very slow internet connection if you need to do video calls.
