We liked that the location was close to restaurants, grocery stores, and beaches. We loved that the snorkel equipment was nice and clean. We also liked that there were beach towels, chairs, a beach bag, and sand toys.
My only complaint was that the beaches were further away than the listing said they would be. We didn't have a car and from what the listing had said, I didn't think we would need one.

If you want to stay in a central location in Kona, it's hard to beat this. The owners were responsive and helpful. I could tell care had been put into the property and the items made available for guests to use. Some properties like this go through the motions, but it's clear that they really care that you're enjoying the place! To name a few, there's nice beach gear, including masks and snorkels and fins, sand toys, chairs, a beach umbrella, and a boogie board.
Regarding air conditioning, while it's true there's no central AC, for prospective guests to consider:
1) closing the door of the bedroom easily allows the window AC to get the room as cool and dry as you like
2) the window AC isn't noisy; I don't sleep easily, and it didn't bother me in the least
3) on full, it *can* meaningfully lower the temperature of the entire unit given time if you want that
4) it's a great way to dry wet things to hang them from the ample hangs with the AC on overnight and one of the provided fans blowing.
Only nitpicks. The pool for the condo complex didn't look the cleanest (some leaves and discoloration on the walls). It was clean enough, and we joyfully used it, and nothing bad befell us. The patio furniture outside the unit is a bit worn and swollen, but we didn't use it, and it wouldn't have bothered us if we did. It's clearly functional!

Close to everything in just 5 min walking distance. Very easy for getting groceries , gasoline, having dinner, lunch, breakfast, going to beach and a couple of national historic parks. We especially like the close running along Ali’i drive, fabulous views and very nice neighborhood.
