About this chalet rental
Chalet "Vanoise" is located in the hamlet of Col in Saint André and is an ideal destination for a memorable stay. This 2-storey property features a living room with a new sofa bed for 2, a kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and can accommodate 12 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi and all kitchen appliances (espresso machine, raclette oven, fondue machine, freezer...). This property also offers private outdoor space with 2 full terraces and a balcony. The chalet is a 20-30 minute drive from 4 ski resorts for all levels, including Europe's largest, Val Thorens (via the Orelle cable car). The immediate area offers a wide range of activities, from cross-country skiing right on site, to snowshoeing, as well as skiing of course, and hiking trails right on the doorstep of the Parc de la Vanoise (Orgère). In summer, there's biking, via ferrata and climbing, as well as a swimming pool and blueberries. 5 parking spaces are available on the property. Families with children are welcome. Pets are welcome. Smoking is permitted inside the building near the fireplace, as is the celebration of events. Guests are asked to take the risk of fire very seriously, as the chalet is made entirely of wood. Guests are required to leave the property clean and tidy at check-in. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge. Air conditioning is not available.

Unique, eccentric, old fashioned accommodation, crammed full of every conceivable contraption and odds and ends! We had great fun there with a log fire in the chilly mountain air and many family board games, cooking utensils and a good espresso machine. Showers aren't great but there's enough warm water. Definitely worth the money but don't expect too much luxury!
