Six of us decided to make the Maison au coeur our base for a visit to Normandy. We would all give it five stars. One walked in and said, “this place is very cool”. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable and roomy. The house has plenty of space - inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We opted not to stay in the centre of Bayeux. The walk from the Maison was easy - no more than 20 minutes. It was a lovely walk, mostly following the river. If we ever come back to Normandy, I know we will want to stay at the Maison again.
I did not like the fact that I couldn’t stay there forever.

We liked everything, the house, the garden, the host Emmanuelle and the host's dog Nui. The house is big enough for 10 people and has more bathrooms than an average french house. To the city center it's a 20-25 minutes walk.
In the attic it would be useful an AC for the hot summer nights. But it's manageable with the window open. Anyway, the attic was a hit for the children.

Good location, walkable to station and city centre but feeling rural and with nature reserve walk nearby. Great spaces with carefully chosen modern and period furniture and decorative flair. Large garden area (although this is not completely fenced off from the owners own garden). Secure off-street parking. Hosts friendly and helpful.
Having to leave! To clarify, this is only that we were sad to end our holiday and leave such a lovely property, we were offered a later checkout but had already arranged things to do en route to our return ferry.

This property is OUTSTANDING! Emmanuelle furnished and decorated it with a unique touch that makes your stay delightful. It is spacious (5 toilets for 10 people), clean, cozy and it has anything one would need. The location is great for visiting the surrounding landings sites.
We definitely enjoyed our stay and would have make it longer if we just had some more time!
