Villa vignes et mer

This villa exceeded our expectations, sitting in the hills overlooking the valley and Cavalaire in the distance, the views from the terrace where we dined and bbq'd were spectacular. The villa is exceptionally well equipped with everything provided that you are likely to need and plenty of glasses and dishes so constant washing up not required (obviously there is a dish washer) There were 8 of us including two kids, rooms were comfortable and a good size, air con good in the downstairs rooms, a bit less efficient upstairs but it was exceptionally hot. Pool terrace is a wonderful place to lounge in or out of the sun, the kids spent their entire time in the pool which is a good size. The garden on the next terrace down is peaceful with lemon, olive and fig trees - the lemons and figs were excellent!The Boulangerie at Croix Valmer is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away - hot bread and croissants fresh out of the oven, tartlette frambois and fraise... etc. There are two good beaches close by - Sylvabelle (small sandy bay down a lot of steps but worth it, and Gigaro larger with restaurants and bars, still very pleasant) - neither ruined by hundreds of umbrellas. 'Ben' met us on arrival and answered all our questions efficiently and maintained the pool. Altogether a very enjoyable place to stay.

One comment: An 'information booklet' covering operational aspects of the Villa and other general information would have been helpful.
