I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Pirg, and I can wholeheartedly say that everything was wonderful. The room I stayed in was stunning, decorated in a charming Ethno style, and the entire complex exudes a calming, serene atmosphere — perfect for relaxation.
The dining options are excellent. There is one restaurant in a traditional style and another serving pizza and pasta, both beautifully decorated in distinct styles. The dessert selection is outstanding, catering to every taste, and meals can also be enjoyed in the comfort of your room. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options to suit all preferences.
The rooms are cleaned daily, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. Walking around the complex, with free-roaming animals and fresh air, adds a unique and peaceful touch to the experience.
The wellness and spa area is fantastic, featuring a pool, jacuzzi, saunas, steam baths, and more. The wellness bar offers a wide selection of drinks, including healthy options, and there are books available for reading — you can even enjoy meals there. The bar operates late, until 11 PM on weekends, which is very convenient.
The staff is exceptionally professional, kind, and attentive, always ready to assist at any hour. I truly have nothing but compliments for Hotel Pirg and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable stay.
The only downside I experienced is that there isn’t an ATM on-site — the nearest one is 3.5 km away and requires a car, as there is no bus service in the area. So if you don’t have a vehicle, it can be inconvenient. However, thanks to the kindness of the staff, they kindly drove me to the nearest ATM, which was extremely thoughtful and rare to experience. This is the only minor drawback of an otherwise perfect stay.

Some buildings are interesting to see and be around.
In a nutshell: My take is that this is not an "etno" village as it could be, but that is a matter of taste :) More importantly, for all of us visiting, is the fact that the entire property is uncared for and outdated, even in its most basic aspects. Yet, you pay a pricey fee for the accommodation. Unless you are into this specific style and location itself, there are for sure better classic, modern hotel options than this.
To illustrate: a pile of bird poo "worth" a few years might be under your window (a unit facing the parking), bulbs that are of a different colour (neon surgical and fade yellow), internet wires and cables either exposed or half-hidden under the old school, uneven, plastic covers; there are old sheets and duvets and saggy mattresses. The breakfast is served in a huge ballroom, with large tables for 12 people - you expect hay balls to pass by any minute. The buffet consists of canned tuna, a basic version of scrambled eggs and sausage, sour cream, salad, and stale-ish bread. Plain automat coffee is there. There is so much (cheaply made) tasty, soul loving Bosnian food (not to mention the coffee!) that this is such a pity, bordering on a hospitality disgrace. We still paid 110e per night (2 persons).
Tip: For a nicer view, request a room with a view of the complex (not the parking area). Additionally, if you are a light sleeper, consider a different building - as this one is located closest to the road, the traffic humming might disturb you. Do understand (we didn't) that breakfast is in a different building, which is a short walk, but not so short that you don't need to put on your shoes and a jacket (nice after you just woke up and it's cold, rainy weather :)).
