The house and property are stunning and comfortable! We were looking for an outdoor Tennessee experience with all of the comforts and found it! My husband and I traveled with our 3 year old and my 75 year old parents. Everyone had fun walking down to the river, saying hello to the cows and watching the wildlife from the house. The birding was a highlight, including bluebirds, cardinals, woodpeckers, hawks, and more.
We enjoyed paddling around the “islands” including 10 minutes to the 49 bridge downstream. We had no trouble paddling both up and downstream (300cfs per USGS gauge Harpeth River Near Kingston Springs, TN - 03434500). We brought our own fly fishing gear and caught the Harpeth Variety Pack of bass, catfish, crappie, etc. Waders were useful but not required since the banks are soft mud. We saw a beaver, turtles and a bald eagle. There was so much to explore right from the property. Town is only 15 minutes away for anything that we needed. The property owner was very responsive and helpful. I am very grateful for the memories made at this beautiful place!
