We had a truly wonderful stay in Bardonecchia, and this place captured everything you hope for in a mountain getaway.
From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a cosy, warm atmosphere with a real chalet feel—the kind of snug, snowy retreat you imagine when coming to the Alps. The apartment is charming and thoughtfully arranged, and one of our favourite details was the view: from the corner of the large window you catch a lovely glimpse of the mountains, with a small terrace looking towards the ski slopes. On one of the nights, snow fell quietly outside, and it gave the whole stay a poetic, almost magical feeling.
We were also pleasantly surprised by how comfortable everything was. The sofa bed exceeded our expectations (which were honestly quite low, as they often are with sofa beds!)—it was genuinely comfortable and allowed us to rest properly after a full day in the snow. Everything was exactly as described, and there was an added sense of being in a historic, local Italian mountain village rather than a generic tourist accommodation.
What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the kindness and care of the hosts. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable—truly 5-star. On top of that, the hosts were incredibly helpful throughout our visit, offering guidance and support whenever we needed it. The standout moment came at the end: after heavy snowfall the night before our departure, they kindly gave us a lift back to the train station purely out of generosity. It was an extra touch you rarely experience elsewhere, and it meant a great deal to us.
All in all, a genuine 5-star stay. If you want to be right in the heart of town, surrounded by the charm of an old Italian mountain village, with excellent comfort and the best hosts you could wish for, this is the place. Highly recommended.
