The location is nice and the cabins have loads of potential. They were warm which is the best part.
Road closures due to flooding in the area caused delays.
Cabins are so close to each other you have zero privacy .
Road to cabins is single carriage and almost impossible to turn round on.
Cabin (Woodland 23) has clearly had a cat in it before because it smelt badly of cat pee.
TVs in cabins are tiny.
Could do with a refurb as they are very dated.

The property was a disappointment if I’m totally honest. It was very dirty, the bathroom absolutely stunk of urine from the moment we got here, the lady at reception gave me some bleach to clean the bathroom. I also had to take apart the dishwasher filter and clean the inside of that as it was full of food waste and the items were coming out more dirty than they went in.

I don’t believe anyone cleans the lodges at all. The crockery and cutlery all needed to be cleaned before use, the bathroom was disgusting and it was just not the kind of holiday experience I was looking for, cleaning all weekend to feel like I could even settle there. There was also a letter of eviction on the lodge window when we arrived so if you’re booked to come here after 11/04/2026 I would strongly advise you to look into this booking as it seems like the site will be closed from that date onwards.
