Large, beautiful apartment house "Silence", 4 storeys, renovated in 2014. In the district of Winkelmatten, 1.2 km from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position. In the house: lift, central heating system. Grocery 600 m, supermarket 1 km, restaurant 300 m, bakery 600 m, 25 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Wiestiboden" 60 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 1.2 km. Mountain railway 800 m, ski rental 800 m, ski bus stop 60 m, ski school 1 km, children's ski school 1 km. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. Please note: the keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt. Additional accommodations can be booked.
"Silence", 1-room apartment 40 m2, on the ground floor. Spacious, simple and comfortable furnishings: living/sleeping room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 190 cm), TV. Exit to the balcony. Kitchen (3 hot plates, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine). Bath/WC. Balcony. Very beautiful view of the Matterhorn. Facilities: Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

The apartment reminded me of a vintage college dorm; serviceable, and in decent shape for the age of the place, but no frills. Nice view of the Matterhorn, and nice to have a little kitchen, which you wouldn’t have in a hotel room. We both found the very flat pillows to be inadequate, but overall, it’s a decent value for the money.
