This is a tranquil little oasis easily accessed from the main road in the southern part of Ubud, but far enough off it that there is no traffic noise - just lots of frogs in the pond! The villa was very comfortable, with a huge air conditioned bedroom upstairs and a nice covered veranda by the pool downstairs to while away the days reading, swimming and watching the local wildlife come and go. But the highlight, as ever in Bali, is the staff, who are all just so amazingly friendly and helpful. Really good value for money in my view.

The water pressure in the shower upstairs is weak, though it’s still fine to use - the pressure is better in the downstairs one for those wanting more power.

The location is terrific, especially to the north, towards the centre of Ubud or around past the Monkey Forest on Jl. Monkey Forest. There's a number of good restaurants and coffee shops in that direction. The staff were consistently lovely.

These are small matters, but hopefully my constructive criticism may help. Firstly, the Wi-Fi was quite poor. It was consistently slow and sometimes dropped out altogether. Because I needed to do some work while staying there, this was a problem. A couple of trivial things could easily be fixed: for example, there is nowhere either inside the bathroom, or outside the bathroom, to hang a towel. It would be relatively easy to fix this issue. Secondly, there is nowhere in the shower area to place soap or shampoo, except on the floor. Again, it's a minor thing but could easily be rectified. Breakfast was uninteresting and mostly cold. The coffee was pretty terrible. But there are some exceptional breakfast restaurants nearby, such as "Pison". Lastly, the villa that we had was comfortable enough, but the downstairs area was really quite wasted. It just wasn't an easy place to sit and spend time, meaning that the upstairs bedroom was really where we spent almost the time when we were in the villa. This is not true of all villas, however. The single-story villa that I saw during my stay, seemed much more usable. I'd recommend to anyone staying to ask for a single-story villa.
