Hedera Estate, Villa Hedera XVII

Fantastische locatie midden in de oide stad. Mooi huis, hoog afwerkingsniveau. Fijne bedden, mooi sanitair en top buiten ruimte. Complete keuken. Ideaal voor een grote groep.

Zoals ook andere gasten hebben aangegeven: incheck tijden zijn niet ideaal: laat inchecken en vroeg uitchecken. Dit was vtv bekent, maar wel echt afwijkend tov andere accomodaties.

The location of the villa is great (if you can find it - it is quite a challenge). It was nice to have a whole villa to ourselves as we were a group of 8. The kitchen is well equiped with an oven and enough cutlery and crockery for our 2 day stay. The house is well maintained and I can see that it is well looked after.

For the price of the villa, I did expect a few things to be better facilities and/or service. Check in is 17h00 and check out is 10h00. That is a bit portion of the day that you cannot be at the location. Although we could check out at 10h00, the cleaning staff got there at 9h45. The pillows were soft and you had to fold them double to fee something under your head. The aircon in 2 of the rooms did not work. We were asked to dispose of the rubbish in the house, but were not told where to take it. There are no bins around for put the trash into. I had to walk around the city, with bags, trying to find a bin. I really do feel that the cleaning staff could have done that. The administration to hire the villa was really over the top. I specifically asked for the EUR 300 deposit link to be sent to me prior to my arrival because I would not have access to my e-mail and limited data. Despite this, I had to keep following up and checking and asking for the payment link (you cannot access the door code without proof that it has been paid). It was unnecessary work to have to do while on holiday and with only a cellphone (no laptop). I received messages from mutiple people and I was trying to figure out what I need and from who. The same goes for the directions to the villa. I advised that I only have a phone on me - and it was really difficult to navigate to the villa. Overall, I don't know whether the effort was worth it. I would rather stay in a guest house or hotel than have to hastle with the admin again. The city is very busy when the cruise ships arrive, its hot and there is no parking. Its hard to drive in Old Town. All supermarkets and shops are closed on public holidays. Restaurants stay open.

A beautifully appointed and perfect location. Amazing space and spotlessly clean. Loved the outside space and location. Very central but also quiet.

No Champagne glasses! Otherwise brilliantly stocked kitchen.
