Lovely views of the hills with modern, bright interior. Great family dining table. Well located but peaceful. Comfortable sofa. Lots of storage space to hang up clothes and a good entry way for walking boots/coats etc.
We had a great stay with a few minor things we’d change in order to make it perfect. The beds were very soft and we all struggled with sore backs by the end of the week. Although mattress firmness is completely individual, all 5 of us struggled to get a comfortable sleep due to this and the type of duvet covers being used (think noisy/crinkly hospital sheets).
Access to a sweeping brush or hoover would have been good to keep the floors and carpets clean and sweep up some dust behind the fire etc that had been overlooked by the cleaner. There was a dustpan under the sink but it’s not feasible to do an entire floor with this.
There was no iron/iron board so having a washing machine kind of defeated the purpose as we couldnt reuse anything and couldn’t tidy up items that had become creased in the suitcase, especially before eating out at some lovely restaurants.
The hot water in the showers did run cold twice, this seemed to happen if more than 2 people had showers at the same time.

The lodge was great and enclosed veranda was great for young grandchildren,
Only downside was because of the gravel/ road metal entry roads no use for prams ,one other thing as we went as 3 generations we spent most evenings in the lodge but if it was sunny for a few hours an evening the tv was unwatchable, a couple of blinds on windows opposite tv would have been great,
