What an amazing place to stay! Everything was just perfect, a beautiful garden with cosy and clean rooms, stylishly furnished, the world’s best breakfast with home made jams, friendly cats, lovely staff… I could go on! We really would love to just stay here for weeks 😄 So relaxing. The owners really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you!! Our 7-year-old really enjoyed it, too.

Sehr nettes, gemütliches Familien-Hotel / Pension am Stadtrand von Selçuk bzw. ganz in der Nähe des Eingangs zur antiken Stadt Ephesos. Die Einfahrt zum Hotel ist nicht ganz leicht zu finden, man muss am Stadtrand sehr langsam fahren, um diese nicht zu verpassen. Aber der Gastgeber nimmt gerne mit den Gästen per WhatsApp Kontakt auf und erklärt alles ganz genau. Die Anlage ist sehr weitläufig, liegt mitten in der Natur und ist teilweise noch im Bau / Umbau begriffen. Wegen Starkregens konnten wir die Umgebung nicht wirklich genießen. Unser Familienzimmer war sauber und ausreichend groß für uns. WiFi hat ordentlich funktioniert. Das Frühstück wurde im Saal neben den Zimmern eingenommen und wurde mit frischen und selbstgemachten Zutaten noch etwas aufgewertet. Melikşah war ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber und hat sich um unsere Anliegen gekümmert.
Es war etwas kalt im Frühstücksraum, aber das war natürlich auch wegen des schlechten Wetters.

A beautiful setting and very peaceful. Able to check in at 12. 40.
2 bubble baths were left, 1 of which was much lower in volume than the second. One can safely assume that one had been used by a previous guest. There is no light in the bedroom apart from the main overhead light so no reading bedside light. There was a plastic mushroom on the joint bedside cabinet which we tapped but it doesn't work for more than a second and would not be fit for purpose if it did work. The almost insistence of breakfast being at 9.00 am. is off-putting, and we were pleased to have only booked one night on this point alone. Yes we asked for breakfast at 8.00 am and this request was rejected. We were asked why we wanted breakfast at 8.00 am. I wasn't used to this type of questioning. We happened to be travelling another 2.5 hours the following morning and we didn't want to arrive in the middle of the day.
For those wishing to visit Ephesus, it opens at 8 am and is one of the busiest attractions in the whole of Turkey. To find yourself there after 9.30 am when you could visit at 8.00 am may easily spoil your enjoyment both from the sheer numbers of tourists and the temperature.
Only one plain coffee and one coffee/ milk was left for the two of us. We both like coffee with milk so if you both like the same thing, then someone is going to be disappointed.
The towels provided were quite lightweight, and one toilet roll was provided for the two of us with seemingly no spare in a cupboard.
I'm really trying to comprehend whether it is overall better to stay in a hotel in Turkey because the tourist/customer doesn't seem to feature too highly and yes there was no WiFi when we arrived.
Dogs were barking before 7 am. One dog walked around carrying a heavy chain. 🙃
Having such a late breakfast caused us problems later that day. Another room wanted their breakfast early and were given a rather unappetising food box..The cheese bureaucratic was very nice but not worth the wait.
