The check-in process was smooth, with an informative video regarding access. The property has a lot of potential. The mattress we used in the main bedroom was comfortable and the kitchen was adequate for basic meals. The aesthetic was nice - it was just a shame that most of the indoor plants had died. The hosts were able to provide a high chair for our toddler and there was also a ball for her to play with.
On our first night, we found three of the shutter blinds were inoperable, with the remaining ones requiring us to play around with the switchboard to use. The hosts, who live upstairs, were aware of this issue, but did not advise us in advance, which we felt should have been handled better. The result was the main bedroom being lit brightly by artificial light from outside at night and the sun from the early hours of the morning. The lounge room had a complete lack of privacy from the apartment building adjacent.
As a couple with a toddler, we could have slept in the second bedroom, however were avoiding that due to the free-standing wardrobe not being anchored to the wall (a tipping risk for our toddler).
The other main issue was the bathrooms - Both harboring a fair amount of black mould - grout, shower curtain in one and the furniture and flexible shower head in the other, and the lack of shower screen in the bath/shower causing a large mess each attempt to use it.
The back courtyard is great, however the couch appeared really dirty.
The only other thing to note - several cats. If you have an allergy, you may have some issues - They also try to come inside, but mostly like to curl up on the outdoor furniture.
