About this house rental
This is a very special property with air-conditioning, featured in the TV programme "A Place in the Sun". It is a recently restored and externally insulated traditional house, standing in its own private grounds of 3.5 acres including a wonderful 1.2 acre olive grove.

Both house and olive grove view directly on to the Gran Sasso massif rising to just short of 3000m. Although extremely private, lying along a track of around 800m, it is only 3-4 minutes from the ancient pre-Roman town of Atri that has a Cathedral, several magnificent churches, a theatre, an archaeological museum and many cafes, trattorie and restaurants. It is only 10 -15 minutes from the pine-shaded beach at Pineto. At the same time it is just 45 minutes from Castelli and the National Parks around the Gran Sasso that have wonderful summer walking. So you can choose both. A great advantage in the summer is that we are at 400m altitude. So after the heat of the beach, you can return home quickly in the evening, and enjoy the fresh air much better than is possible close to the sea. Sleeping is easy here - especially with the modern air conditioning.

This place has a fantastic location! Very quiet for relaxing nights and close enough the Pescara, Pineto and Sylvi. Host is very quick to respond and is a very good person. The only drawback is cleanliness which could benefit from a little more rigor.

With one of a kind view and secluded, yet convenient location the property offers what you look for in Abruzzo - quiet and tranquillity combined with spectacular mountains and warm sea at your fingertips.
The house itself is spacious, fully equipped and can comfortably accomodate 6 adults (big plus for comfy matresses). Number of interesting books and original art pieces give this house unique flavour and "soul".
Another worth-metnioning advantage of the property is the surroundings including well arranged yard (perfect for breakfast as well as for a bottle of wine in the evening) and a lot of fruits (figs, limes, grapes) you can get fresh form the trees growing in the garden.
The owners have been responsive helpful and all necessary arrangments went smoothly.
All together our stay have really been a great pleasure and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.

With two ways to reach the property we were quite fortunate to find our home in a very secluded area that happened to be on the edge of a UNESCO site, the Calanchi of Asti.
Beautiful view of the mountains out of every window. Very relaxing in the early morning and evenings... A pleasure to hike around the area!
