Located 7½ miles west of Llandrindod Wells—known locally as ‘Landod’—the area is steeped in history, with origins tied to healing spring waters first utilised by the Romans and later popularised by the Victorians. Today, this heritage is celebrated with an annual festival that transforms the town into a Dickensian-style setting each August.

Nearby attractions include Rhayader with its red kite feeding station and Welsh Royal Crystal workshops; Builth Wells and the Royal Welsh Showground; Brecon, home to its famous jazz festival, cathedral, and castle; the literary hub of Hay-on-Wye; Llanwrtyd Wells, known for its unique events such as the Man vs Horse race and bog snorkelling; and Knighton, home to the Offa’s Dyke Centre. The nearest pub and restaurant are 5¾ miles away.
