Eel House cottage is located along the stunning rural road which takes you up to Esthwaite Water from the Estate. Enveloped in rolling green fields with lambs and forestry.
The Cottage offers two bedrooms upstairs, with the Master having its own en-suite with walk-in shower, and a twin looking out across the fields and beyond. Downstairs is the living room with TV and log burning stove to curl up after a long day out exploring, with the kitchen and dining area just in the next room.

Eel House cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. Weather was poor so the log burner was lovely of an evening. Nice that both bedrooms had use of their own bathroom and we found the beds comfy. The smart TV was ok once you got used to it, and the wi-fi was great for all our devices. Despite rain for 7 days solid we had a lovely time and found we were in a great location to explore the area.

What a gorgeous little cottage. It was just perfect for our weekend stay in the Lakes attending a family wedding. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and welcoming. We did not light the woodturner but what a great addition for those damp lake days.
Would certainly recommend.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eel House Cottage. The location has been wonderful, and so relaxing.
The bedrooms are of a good size (with space for a travel cot). The house stays lovely and warm also. The cottage has all of the essentials in the kitchen, with a large dining room too, to enjoy family meals.
Anyone from the Graythwaite estate we have spoken to has been helpful and friendly and we look forward to staying again!

Location is great as its the west side of the lakes and so much quieter. The cottage is located beside the road but traffic is minimal. Plenty of pretty places to walk and a good selection of pubs fairly close by. The cottage has everything you need for a comfy stay but it's looking a bit tired, we were happy enough though. The beds were super comfy. We would return if the price was more competitive.
