Firgarth Lodge is a comfortable, ground floor, wooden lodge, offering typical ‘Lake District’ accommodation for up to six people on the popular and family friendly, White Cross Bay Holiday Park.
Entering from the private parking area – suitable for three cars – you’re immediately welcomed by the wrap around patio with patio style seating for six which is ideal for al fresco dining in the warmer months and makes for the perfect outdoor entertaining space.
Once inside, the well-equipped kitchen provides convenient and modern day living, making your self-catering lodge holiday easy and hassle free. A dining table with seating for six is well positioned between the kitchen and the lounge; the open plan living creates a homely atmosphere. The lounge offers relaxed seating, an electric fire and a wide-screen TV – ideal for hunkering down after a day of exploring everything the nearby areas of Windermere and Ambleside have to offer. There are patio doors that lead off the lounge, further enhancing the social space that Firgarth truly is.
The main accommodation is made of up three good sized bedrooms – one double and two twins – all offering ample storage and dressed in well paired soft furnishings. There is one good sized bathroom with a bath, shower over the same and washbasin, while a separate and equally convenient toilet cubicle (with WC and basin) is also sited towards the rear of the lodge.
It begs no questions that Firgarth Lodge provides a great base for your Lake District adventures, be those with family or groups of friends.

This was our 3rd time at Whitecross bay (although the first time using Tarn & Fell), and this was the best lodge yet!
The location was really quiet, and relatively private for a park like this.
The lodge was really well equipped with everything you need, and felt very comfortable - like a home from home.
My only suggestion would be to consider screening behind the hot tub for a bit more privacy although the area was so quiet it wasn't much of an issue.

Myself, my parents and my two teenagers stayed in Firgarth Lodge for the past week. The lodge is in a lovely quiet position. Our dog was allowed to stay too and he enjoyed many walks to the lake side and around the park. The lodge inside has everything you need for a week's holiday. A lot of time and effort must be put inside the lodge to keep it the way it is. The brand new hot tub is lovely and very warm. A wee bit of TLC on the decking to keep up with the inside of the property would make it perfect. Very small things like the outdoor table needing washed and the plastic hanging baskets need replaced and a wee sweep of the decking. I understand this is difficult in the beautiful surroundings with all the trees overhanging. We had a really nice trip. Thank you.

This lodge was absolutely lovely our family of 6 loved it and plenty of room for us all place was absolutely spotless on arrival.
There was everything we needed for cooking eating and cleaning.
Unfortunately the hot tub didn’t warm up for us on the first night but spoke to the manager Ross who was double helpful and got the repair team out first thing the following morning and all sorted all in all couldn’t fault the place and will 100% bring the family back. Many thanks
