Small island with sitting out area (private). 200-acre natural grounds and woodland (shared with owner and other properties on-site). Coarse fishing on-site (by arrangement with owner). Wood-fired hot tub for 4 (private). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply via borehole. The property is on a lake.. ‘The Rose’ is a truly unique holiday home in an idyllic spot in the South Wales countryside. Stay in a boat that is moored on a private lake, nestled in this Swansea valley. The accommodation, whilst unusual, has been considerately laid out with some extra comforts added. The boat itself has an open plan living-kitchen area with basic cooking essentials, U-shaped seating in the dining area with a TV mounted on the wall, and two bedrooms with en suite shower facilities. The bedrooms are cosy with compact en-suite facilities. The main bedroom at the rear of the boat has a small double bed as well as a single bed, and the second bedroom offers additional sleeping for one. There is also a top deck to the boat with seating and a canvas roof that can be retracted to sit out and enjoy the views.
Extra comfort has been considered with a separate, private shower block available next to the lake. Plus, to make your break extra special, on the edge of the lake there is a private, wood-fired hot tub available to use. The lake also has its own private island with a dome, where you could sit out and enjoy a sunset with a glass of bubbly or even take a romantic picnic. You can also fish in the lake or head to the nearby Lower Lliw Reservoir to fish. The Rose is perfect for a romantic break in the beautiful countryside, but if you are thinking of a bigger get together then you can book The Rose alongside other accommodation on site to sleep up to 14 guests - all situated on a farm with access is via a rough track road, sitting within a 200-acre plot. Being on a farm you’ll likely see animals roaming the grounds including sheep, alpacas, and buffalo! There are fantastic walks to enjoy locally, and you can access the old Gower pathway taking you all the way to the popular Rhossili Bay.
