The positives for this were the location, the place is pretty and basics are included.
The hosts are also lovely when they reply, usually takes several hours to get a response, so bear that in mind.
I disagree with a lot of the reviews, there is not a sofa bed, its a double bed with 2 single mattresses, which is not great and very unconfutable.
There are no bed bugs, due to the location of the canal if you leave the windows open and the shutters you will get bitten by mosquitos. If you leave the window open with the shutters shut you do not get bitten. Pro tip, also cools the entire place down.
Another thing I kept reading was the smell of smoke, we do not smoke and when we got there there was no smell of smoke at all.
As well as this I disagree with people going on about mould, the extractor fan is covered with mouldy masking tape. that is not a mould issue and there is no mould issue in the apartment at all.
The light turns on an extractor fan if you do not use this you will find a build up of moisture which clearly causes an issue.
I also have to disagree about the windows not opening, we were able to open the windows and there is a FAN if you can not deal with the noise from traffic outside.
The pillows are French, so do not expect European/USA pillows, they are comfy but not rectangular like you would expect but square.
So for the cons. as stated the two single mattresses together do not work, leaving a couple like us to fall in the middle of the bed and the bed is not at all sturdy.
We had to ask basics like where the local shops were, what the wifi was, etc. I feel a welcome guide would be most useful especially considering we were not at all local. As well as this the washing machines we had to find by accident as were not told about location.
The place needs some TLC wardrobe had a chip in which we did disclose so we did not get charged, as well as this the place was not clean and we had to clean a lot of the apartment. Not good when they have a cleaner. I do not understand how you can justify a cleaning fee, when we are cleaning the place before we can stay and we did due to being there for a week.
As for saying its close to Disney land, no sir, its a 30 minute drive to Disney land. That is not close. If like us you are using public transport you can walk to the bus stop on the same side of the flats and catch the bus to Chelles RER and then cartch the A route down to Chessey all in this takes around 45 minutes.
Likewise the main Paris region and attractions are around the same in the opposite direction. As stated the whole apartment needs some love and some of the bits in there are missing or broken, The oven grill is missing the actual grill which we managed to over come as for oven trays a simple quiche tray exists and that is it.
My last gripe is the 5pm check in time to give time for the cleaner to clean - this made me laugh as the place was not clean at all. Also I have never and I have stayed all around the world in these places came across a 5pm check in time ever.
The TV is also all French and NETFLIX etc does not work so bring your own setup for that if you want it to avoid an education in FRENCH TV.
Also on the last couple of days being asked to remove rubbish and clean up when there is a cleaning fee, come on... apart from that, the place was lovely.
