Perfect place to stay. The hosts had taken care of everything: amenities, parking, and clear instructions for check-in and check-out. There were even small treats left for us in the kitchen. A wonderful stay.

Very warm during a cold and snowy Saffron Walden.
Close to centre of town.
Very clean. A comfortable living room , bedroom and kitchen.
The stairs to the bedroom were very steep. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems

The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of the town centre. The property was very tastefully decorated with everything you needed.
No parking but that’s what you’d expect with a town centre location.

The cottage is comfortable and once we had settled in found it very relaxing.
The staircase is very steep and narrow so you have to be very careful when going downstairs, especially during the night. Nikki assisted us with parking arrangements. I would have liked to have known we were able to drop off lugguage before parking, as the streets are very busy and difficult to cross particularly if you are arriving between 3-5 as this is when the roads are most busy and the route from the Duke Of York car park to the cottage involves crossing two busy roads.
