My husband and I were here for a pilgrimage. The hotel’s location was quite far from Padre Pio shrine. The walk to Padre Pio was ok as it’s downhill. It was challenging to walk back to the hotel. There was no dining options in the hotel (other than the breakfast) nor around the hotel. There may be a few but you need to walk and there isn’t much.
Having said that, for the price and cleanliness, I would recommend this hotel.

I loved staying here and would stay here again. Big, clean and comfortable room, lovely breakfast, exceptional staff and very near all the churches. Only drawback was my single bed was very narrow and I rolled off the bed at night.

I booked two rooms so copied my review of the other room here — We area family of 6 adults so we had two rooms - a twin and a family room for 4. The hotel was clean and supposedly a 15min walk from the Sanctuary of Padre Pio. We didn’t get to make that walk but this would be a good location for visitors/pilgrims who would like a morning exercise to attend a 6:30am mass at the sanctuary, or just be there early before the crowds. Breakfast was great — home-made, warm bread with cold cuts and cheese, cereals, fruits, juices and of course good coffee. Although there was an assortment of jams, I ate the breads plain with my coffee because they were really good. The best I guess was the croissant which made the restaurant smell incredibly yummy - buttery and sweet - early in the morning. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.
