Amazing in every way. I cant recommend Chalet Didi enough. Very well renovated, super comfy beds with excellent bedding, log burner stocked up with wood and ready to use. Bathrooms spotless and everything you need to cook.
We were warned that we needed to walk down a sloped hill even though it was covered in snow - it added to the adventure of it all.
Hosts were super helpful and advised we get there a little before standard checkin time to make sure it was light.
Full instructions were provided so we could find the property quite easily.
The village itself is quite quiet but possibly even more so because we stayed out of season.
There is a fantastic supermarket nearby - but for us it was a car ride - a little too far to walk due to the snow.
The panoramic, unobstructed view is incredible. I’m sure in the Summer it would have been amazing - but honestly, the snow filled peaks stretching as far as the eye could see will always be etched in our minds.

Die Lage mit der super Aussicht in das Rhônetal war imposant. Die Lage in den Tannen mit dem verwunschenen Grundstück war cosy, obwohl ein Wanderweg am Grundstück vorbeigeht. Das Interieur war comfortabel und cosy ausgebaut. Wir fühlten uns wohl!
Das Licht würde nach mehr Behaglichkeit fragen, vorallem bei den Sofas. Auch war das einte Bett durchgelegen, was nach einer neuen Matratze fragt. Die Zufahrt ist zuletzt sehr steil (im Winter schwierig), der Zugang zu Fuss muss betreffend Gepäck überlegt sein (Rucksacktasche).

Die Lage des Chalets war traumhaft und die Ausstattung bot alles was man benötigte.
Einziges Manko waren die Betten. So schön das Chalet, die Lage und der Entspannungsfaktor auch waren, so unbequem und durchgelegen waren auch leider die Matratzen.

I recently stayed at this chalet, and while the view was stunning and the property itself was clean and well-kept, there were a few key things that made my stay less comfortable than expected.
The biggest issue was accessibility. The drive up to the chalet is very steep and requires a 4x4 vehicle. I went with a sedan and faced a challenging and stressful time getting to and from the location. This significant detail wasn’t mentioned in the booking information or communicated after booking, which left us unprepared.
Even after parking, reaching the chalet requires walking down a steep hill. If you’re traveling with a suitcase, or with children or elderly family members, this becomes quite difficult. Climbing back up with luggage is no easy task.
Another issue was the hot water. It seems the hot water supply is only enough for about two people or two short showers. If you’re a larger group or staying longer, you’ll run into this problem quickly.
The beds also weren’t very comfortable, which made it hard to rest well after long days.
That said, the chalet itself is beautiful and clean, and if you’re traveling light with a group of friends, the experience could be fun and more manageable. The peaceful setting and mountain views are a highlight.
I wish all these details were listed in the booking so guests could make a more informed decision and come prepared.
