The Home
This Fairy Tale Storybook Cottage was built by Hugh Comstock in 1928! It is famously named, " The Birthday House". It is a one-of-a-kind, cozy old world, 1 bedroom cottage experience. You will step back in time as you enter through the ancient oak trees and the charming stone walk paths. French doors open onto the kitchen and front yard deck/patios. With antique décor and cabinetry you will adore this precious little home named “Birthday House.” A charming entry, through a custom garden arbor, brings you into a beautiful real-life storybook cottage. This house features one queen sized bed, upstairs with windows that open to welcome the fresh sea air and a peek of the ocean. There is a full bathroom with a tub and shower upstairs and a half bathroom next to the fireplace downstairs. The washer and dryer are upstairs located in the bathroom. The kitchen has an all the amenities you will need during your stay. Sit by the fireplace on chilly foggy evening sipping your hot tea. There is a deck at the back of the kitchen where the French doors will open on to.
The cottage was built in the early 1900’s by Hugh Comstock who built many of these story book cottages which Carmel is famed for.

Diving, Whale Sightseeing, visit the Mission, and of course, Golf at one of our many golf courses!
This is a 30 day rental. This is pet friendly property, but must be preapproved before renting.

I could walk everywhere town, beach , food shopping, restaurants, very friendly neighborhood shop people very helpful met many new friends

I loved staying in this little Comstock cottage. It was great to be so close to town. At the end of my stay my kids came to be with me and it was cramped but if it's just you or you and a partner it's great.
